Welcome to the web home of Portland based singer and musician Matthew Gailey. Matthew is a singer from the jazz, gospel and funk tradition and performs a range of repertoire from straight ahead jazz standards to more eclectic music with elements of jazz, world music, gospel and funk. In addition to performing vocal jazz standards Matthew recently formed the group "The Kaleidoscope Project" a jazz/folk/world music mix. The group is made up of Matthew on vocals, Clifford Koufman (The Bittersweet Trio, Obo Addy) on percussion, Steve Cleveland (Chata Addy, Johnnie Ward and the Sharkskin Review, the Bittersweet Trio, Flatland, Jujuba) on wurlitzer and keys, and Don Corey (Jujuba, Flatland) on upright and electric bass.
